Painting On Location

Join Aurelio Torres on the grounds of the four National Trust for Historic Preservation, Historic Artists’ Homes & Studios of the East End. Continuing a long tradition of landscape painting on Long Island, this week long workshop offers students the opportunity to study light, composition, and color while working outside in the natural environment at these historic sites.

This class is for people with previous experience. Students must have background knowledge of working outdoors and must provide their own easels and supplies.

This class will run Monday to Friday, September 12th to 16th
9 a.m. to 12 noon.

Monday: D’Amico Studio & Archive at lazy point.

Tuesday: Madoo Conservancy in Sagaponack

Wednesday: Pollock-Krasner House in Springs

Thursday: Honoring Thomas & Mary Nimmo Moran Studio at the MULFORD FARM, East Hampton Village.

Friday: The Art Barge on Napeague.

Aurelio Torres will continue Painting on Location in Montauk the following week. Exact locations to be announced but will include the Historic Montauk Lighthouse among others.
